All proceeds from Communion's Forgotten Story go directly to support Dr. Matthew Ness (Family Physician) and Amy-Lynn Ness (Elementary Education) and their three daughters, serving with Africa Inland Mission at Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, Kenya — a school with over a century of ministry history, home to nearly 500 students from 30 countries, most of them children of missionary families serving across Africa.
After a life-changing three-month trip to Kenya in 2024, the Ness family felt an undeniable call to return. They began serving in Kijabe in July 2026.
Rev. Mark L. Moody is a retired pastor, Bible teacher, and author with over 45 years in ministry. From his early years as Director of Teen Challenge — walking alongside people in their darkest moments — to decades of pastoral ministry across British Columbia, Canada, Mark has spent his life pointing people toward Scripture and lasting transformation.
With a Pentecostal background and an evangelical heart, he was known throughout BC for Scripture-driven preaching and gracious conviction. Originally from Washington State, Mark spent most of his ministry in BC. He writes the way he preached — with careful biblical scholarship, genuine humility, and a deep love for God's Word.
Mark and his wife are the proud parents of four children and grandparents to fifteen grandchildren. He brings the same love for family to every page he writes.
